ALEGE cENTRe: THE PLACE WHERE Difficult DecisionS BECOME SOMETHING YOU ARE GOOD AT
Our decisions, individual or collective are at the center of the worlds’ problems and joys. The ALEGEDecision Research, Support and Education Centre aims to improve decision-making abilities of people around the world through its research, support and educational programs.
Based on academic research in the field of decision-making, our solutions span from research services designed to inform decision-making, assisted decision support, counselling and decision-making education.
Alexandra Gheondea-Eladi is the founder of the ALEGE Centre for Decision Research, Support and Education. She is a researcher in sociology with a passion for helping people make better decisions.
Why is she here?
Alexandra believes that many problems people encounter in their personal development and life are due to not knowing how to make decisions. She would like to help you make more informed, value-congruent decisions.
Is she qualified for this?
In the past 11 years, Alexandra has been studying decision-making as a scientific researcher at the Research Institute for Quality of Life of the Romanian Academy. She travelled and collaborated with researchers around the globe to deepen her knowledge on decision-making. She works and collaborated with the University of Rovira and Virgili, Spain, the University of Groningen, Netherlands, Waseda University, Japan, Bilkent University, Turkey, the Technological Institute of Monterrey and Warwick University where she was a Foreign Commonwealth Office Chevening Scholar. In her research she investigated how people make health decisions, how they decide to help others and volunteer, how they handle conflicts between work and personal life and how they use technology to make better decisions. She has a wide understanding of the state of the art in decision-making from a scientific point of view. And she has been providing decision support to clients since 2016.
This is a tailor made service for helping you find your way through complex decision-making situations. I will guide you through adapting your decision-strategy to the type of context, identifying your core roles and each ones’ objectives and helping you find your way through the decision-making process.
How it works?
You first need to have an idea of what decision you are trying to make. I can help guide you through the process to identify your true objectives and how you can pursue them. Depending on the step in this process where you currently find yourself in, there can be more or less sessions until you find your resolution. If you have your options clear and you are struggling with indecision, it usually takes about 2 sessions to clear things out for you. If your options are not very clear or we discover new ones, it can take more sessions until you finally reach your resolution.
